Press Release:

Doctors Stéphane Provencher and Joseph F. Unger were called upon to design and present a symposium about Autism, ADD and ADHD that was held in Kansas city, Missouri April 18-20th 2008. Drs Provencher and Unger have spent more than 1000 hours collecting research articles, news articles and other pertinent information on this important subject. They created a DVD video which include powerpoints, 6000+ pages of scientifics research articles, 100+ news articles and more.

This DVD plus CD set is a complete compilation of the SORSI April 2008 Symposium on these subjects as well as all of the technique and research presentations. The video DVD includes a Powerpoint self-study introduction to ADD/ADHD/ASD suitable for practitioners and concerned patients alike. This video can alternatively be played as a slideshow in you waiting room for patient education or customized for lectures. Thousands of research abstracts and hundreds of pages of useful information are included in addition.

The bonus CD (a $49.95 value) contains all the class notes from this epic SORSI symposium as well as printable brochures and hundreds of additional pages of essential materials. Literally, over a thousand hours of research went into the development of this invaluable collection. You can reap the benefits without all of the additional effort.

Participants of the SORSI ADD/ADHD/ASD Symposium agreed that the DVD + CD are easily worth the price of the seminar. In attempt to distribute these timely materials, SORSI is making the DVD available for just $149.95 ($124.95 for SORSI members) plus tax and shipping. The Symposium CD is included free for a limited time. Order now and take advantage of this special offer.

Autism (ASD) Central Nervous System Hypersensitivty,

The Craniosacral-Cerebral Spinal Fluid System, SOT Chiropractic and SOT Craniopathy

It seems that many of these children and individuals have hyper reactionary neurological systems. This may be the result of numerous possible causes; however, it would stand to reason that proper intervention through chiropractic craniopathy could be of value. Any disturbance in the craniosacral mechanism, including spinal and pelvic dysfunctions, can also disturb the cranial mechanism. Your SORSI certified doctor is possibly the best professional able to evaluate the possibility of the need for an integrated chiropractic/craniopathic intervention. It is likely that the gentlest of approaches will be most effective in these circumstances. It is essential to always gauge the patient's individual tolerance.

Any compromise within the neurological system affecting the craniosacral mechanism can produce cranial distortion. As a result, an increase, however so slight, in intracranial pressure occurs. Spinal subluxations can produce stasis of cerebral spinal fluid flow. All of these effects can contribute to a hyper reactivity of the central nervous system. By alleviating these distortions and subluxations, the central nervous system can be affected in a calming fashion. Especially effective may be techniques like CRI balancing, CSF directing and some of the sacral-based cranial therapies. The entire structural/functional system, however should be evaluated.

One of the most authoritative resources to assist the doctor in understanding the dynamics of the craniosacral mechanism is Introduction to Chiropractic by Dr. Jonathan Howat. This is truly a masterpiece in delineating the structural mechanisms in man and is an essential volume for all students, practitioners and interested parents. This along with other information is available through www.sorsi.com

Another priceless work is Pregnancy and Paediatrics - A Chiropractic Approach, by Stephen Williams, D.C., FCC (Paed), FCC (Cranio). Dr. Williams outlines magnificent strategies for the trained chiropractic practitioner to treat infants and children with these and other disorders. His treatment protocol is extremely effective for normalizing cranial function and central nervous system neurology. His understanding of the cranial needs in pediatrics is unparalleled in the industry. This volume is also available through www.sorsi.com

With respect to ADD/ADHD specifically, Dr. Keith Bastian in Australia has reported observations of effective treatments for almost 25 years. His first critical observation was that most practitioners do not thoroughly correct the Category II subluxation complex in these instances. Category II treatments and sutural-type interventions must be administered until all of the indicators are thoroughly neutralized.

In Dr Bastian's experience, clearing the pelvic indicators of the Category II and thoroughly freeing the sutural system usually resolves the condition or greatly alleviate the symptoms. Of course, there may be environmental factors as well as food sensitivities and other implications involved in any individual case. They would need to be addressed on an individual basis.

When normalizing the Category II disturbances does not fully resolve the condition, then Category I treatment, especially with the four-handed Category I specific cranial corrections, usually produces excellent results. Unfortunately, single practitioner cranial interventions are not effective in these cases. The De Jarnette-described two-person cranial maneuvers are essential. This of course is why "The Major" instructed us to perform these maneuvers in the fashion that he specifically described.

With respect to the Category II sutural system in man, there is no equal to the text, Cranial Sutures by Dr. Marc Pick. This is truly the definitive and authoritative treatise on cranial sutures and is a must read for every serious student of the cranial sutural system. Again, this text is available through www.sorsi.com
